Paul Morse

Services for Paul Raymond Morse, 88, Marion, who died Friday, were to have been this morning.

Born Dec. 29, 1937, in Hillsboro to Earl and Hattie (Klenk) Morse, he grew up in Marion, graduated from Marion High School in 1956, and received degrees from Hutchinson Community College, Wichita State University, and Emporia State University.

He married Elaine Thelander on June 6, 1969, at First Covenant Church in Salina. They shared 57 years of marriage, mostly in Salina.

He taught industrial arts for 10 years but for most of his career was self-employed, owning and managing rental properties before investing in farmland.

Retiring at Marion County Lake, he was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Elaine; daughters Lynette Morse of Kansas City, Missouri, and Lisa Euzukonis of Boxford, Massachusetts; son Justin Morse of Salina; brother John Morse of Aurora, Colorado; and two grandchildren.

Brother Robert Morse and sister Ruth Dall preceded him in death.

A memorial has been established with the church.
