SHERIFF

Theft, criminal damage

Two service ramps, oil, and 25 gallons of gasoline, together valued at $171, were stolen and a riding mower sustained damage estimated at $500 between 7:07 and 8:12 p.m. April 11 when a thief broke into Cynthia Goentzel’s residence in the 100 block of Maple St. in Lost Springs, according to one of two offense reports released Friday.

Burglary

Nothing was reported stolen after a burglar broke into Peabody Senior Center, 106 N. Walnut St., between 1:30 p.m. April 16 and 8:20 a.m. Thursday.

HILLSBORO

Burglary, theft

Six antique decorative windows, five paintings, and two antique chairs, together valued at $840, were reported stolen between 10 a.m. Dec. 15 and 3 p.m. Thursday by a burglar who broke a $10 lock on a West Winds Properties self-storage unit rented by Peggy A. Goertzen at 303 N. Birch St.

MARION

Possession of stimulants, drug paraphernalia

What was described only as a “usable” amount of crystal methamphetamine in a plastic bag and a clear plastic straw containing trace amounts of the substance were seized after drug dog Blue detected the items during a traffic stop for a defective license plate light at 12:30 a.m. Friday on US-56 west of Cedar St.

Jason C. George, 40, Oakley, was arrested on suspicion of possessing stimulants and drug paraphernalia. He was jailed in lieu of posting a $5,000 bond.

His black 2013 Lincoln MKX was towed.
