These offense reports were released this past week by law enforcement agencies:

SHERIFF

Theft

A 2009 Dodge Ram pickup valued at $6,500 was stolen between 11:30 p.m. July 17 and 10 a.m. July 18 from outside Mark King’s farmhouse south of US-56 on Nighthawk Rd. The theft was reported eight hours later.

Driving with suspended license

Luis Perez, 32, Hillsboro, was arrested at 6:34 p.m. July 20 at Ash and D Sts. in Hillsboro on suspicion of driving while his license canceled, suspended, or revoked. He was released 19 hours later on a $1,000 personal recognizance promise.

Domestic battery

A 34-year-old woman allegedly was grabbed by her hair and pushed to the floor during an argument with her live-in boyfriend and father of her child at 10 a.m. Saturday in the 300 block of N. Ash St.

Brent Nicholas Potocnik, also 34, was arrested on suspicion of domestic battery. He was released four hours later after posting a $1,500 surety bond.

Underage alcohol consumption and driving under the influence, marijuana possession, traffic charges

A 19-year-old Canton driver, stopped on suspicion of speeding and having a defective muffler at 12:37 a.m. Sunday in the 200 block of S. Date St., was arrested on suspicion of additional charges after an officer detected the odor of alcohol and a police dog called in from Marion indicated the odor of drugs.

Dakota L. Williams was arrested on suspicion of having a blood-alcohol level between 0.02% and 0.08%. That’s below the limit for drivers 21 and older but above the limit for underage drivers.

She also is suspected of consumption of alcohol by a minor and of possession of marijuana. A trace amount (0.02 of a gram, less than single cigarette) was seized.

Williams was released two hours after her arrest after posting a $2,500 surety bond.
