Marjorie Graham

A committal service is planned at a later date at Prairie Lawn Cemetery in Peabody for Marjorie L. (Buell) Graham, 91, who died May 27, 2024, at Newton Presbyterian Manor.

She was born Nov. 24, 1932, in Peabody to Keith and Ursula (Shriver) Buell.

On Feb. 17, 1952, she married Rex Graham. He preceded her in death Nov. 26, 2015.

Marjorie was a member of Trinity Heights United Methodist Church in Newton.

A 1950 graduate of Peabody High School, she worked as city clerk for Peabody for 12½ years and then continued her career as a bookkeeper for the Society of Decorative Toll Painters for another 11½ years.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and serving her church. She often could be found relaxing by sewing and quilting. She also enjoyed cooking and gardening.

Marjorie is survived by son Neil Graham (and wife Karol); daughter Cheryl Wallweber; brother Keith Buell Jr.; sisters Carmen Hall and Delores Hordeski; granddaughter Emily Sieber (and Joey); and a great-grandchild.

Marjorie also is survived by “granddog” Spanky Graham

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Lori Lyn Graham, sister Carmina Yost, son-in-law Chris Wallweber, and “granddog” Chester Wallweber

Memorials may be made to the Peabody Historical Society and left in care of Petersen Funeral Home, Newton.

Petersen Funeral Home is charge of arrangements.
