Senior center celebrates birthdays
Marion Senior Center
Several birthdays were celebrated at Marion Senior Center including Jackie Hett and Janet Bryant. The Pillsbury Dough Boy and Slinky’s birthdays also were celebrated, and senior’s observed Little Red Wagon Day.
Becky Hogue decorated the dining room for Easter, and Wilma Nice set trays with condiments back on the tables. Beverages, glasses and cups also have been set out for patrons.
The Senior Center has new kitchen flooring in the pantry installed by the County Seat.
The Senior Center continues to distribute commodities every third Wednesday, which is the same day the board conducts its business meeting.
Myrta Billings has presented two talks, “Eggs Are Good for You” and “Cancer Is Not Inevitable.”
Shirley Bowers and Bob Crawford brought in irises from their gardens.
Patrons are being encouraged to bring in their egg cartons to give away.
