Linda Campbell
Mass of Christian burial for Marion native Linda Lou Campbell, 79, of Salina, who passed away May 29, 2024, was 10 a.m. Friday, June 7, at St. Mary Queen of the Universe Catholic Church, 230 E. Cloud St., Salina.
Father Kevin Weber was celebrant. Burial was at All Saints Cemetery. Visitation at Ryan Mortuary, Salina, was 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 6, with a rosary vigil at 7 p.m.
Linda was born Feb. 17, 1945, in Marion to Rex and Olga (Stuchlik) Siebert.
She married Duane Haselhorst in 1965 and was widowed with three sons in 1968.
In 1969, she met Robert “Bob” Campbell. She accredited her guardian angel for sending him to her and married him that same year. The couple were blessed with two children, and the Haselhorst family fully embraced their marriage.
Linda’s parents, stepmother Vernolis Siebert, half-brother David Tsumpes, and many in-laws on both sides of the family preceded her in death.
Survivors include sons Roger, David (and wife Shellie), and Darren (and wife Carlene) Haselhorst and Matthew (and wife Tina) Campbell; daughter Krista (and husband Jim) DeMars; sister-in-law Norma (and husband Price) Campbell; brother Ladd (and wife Mary Jo) Siebert of South Dakota; brother John (and wife Marianne) Siebert of Florence; and half-brothers William Tsumpes of Texas and Brad Tsumpes of California.
Other survivors include sisters and brothers-in-laws in the Haselhorst family in Ellis County: Doris (and husband Carl) Zimmerman, Donetta (and husband Donny) Lang, Debbie Hatfield, Irvin Haselhorst Jr. (and wife Gail), Eddie Schuckman, and Dale (and wife Shelley) Haselhorst.
Surviving grandchildren include Duane and Savonnah Haselhorst; Grant, Kasey, and Emily DeMars; Keni, Ty (and wife Mabyn) Campbell; K-Lee and Aaron (and wife Waters) Shaye; and Vallen Haselhorst.
Also surviving are three great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Linda also had a beautiful circle of women to call friends.
Linda was a homemaker and had a home-based plaster business.
She was employed by Advance Auto parts in the 1980s until her retirement.
Over the past 40 years, Linda’s lifelong passion was for the care and protection of the unborn and their mothers.
Her volunteer work as the Director of Birthright helped hundreds of women and children in our community.
Linda has been an active member of St. Mary Queen of the Universe Parish her whole adult life.
