Dilapidate homes face fix-or-raze hearing

Owners of three dilapidated properties in Marion will have to make repairs or raze the buildings.
City council members voted Monday to set Feb. 6 hearings on these properties:
- 129 W. Santa Fe St. — a three bedroom house built in 1900 and owned by Linda Brewer.
- 202 Miller St. — a one bedroom house built in 1914 and owned by Deliliah Belshe.
- 420 E. Moore St. — a garage or shed owned by Darvin Markley.
City building inspector James Masters has been in contact with owners of those and two other properties, he told council members.
Markley already has received a demolition permit for his property on Moore St.
