HILLSBORO

700 block of S. Ash St.

Charissa Y. Benda, 32, Hillsboro, backed her 1992 Ford Ranger into a 2016 Ford Fusion parked behind her at 2:36 p.m. Dec. 27 in Salem Home’s parking lot.

The parked car, owned by Hannah Bradley of rural Hillsboro, sustained damage to its left rear quarter panel. Benda’s pickup was not damaged.

600 block of Orchard Dr.

D St. and Stadium Dr.

A 2014 Mazda MZ6 driven by Joshua Garcia, 19, of Tomball, Texas, slid on slick streets at 1:29 p.m. Sunday into the rear of a 2016 Hyundai Veloster driven by Kaleonahenani E. Vincent, 20, Park City.

Vincent had slowed to turn onto Stadium. Dr. Garcia, who was behind her on D St., could not stop in time to avoid a collision.

Officer David D. Funk’s report blamed the accident on icy or slushy roads and on Garcia following too closely and driving too fast for conditions. No tickets were issued.

Angela D. Vincent, 46, and Kekoailanakila T. Vincent, 18, of the same Park City address were passengers in Vincent’s Hyundai.

Garcia’s Mazda was listed as belonging to Ydalia M. Apolinar of Alvarado, Texas.

Both vehicles were damaged but operable.
