These accident reports were released this past week by law enforcement agencies:

SHERIFF

120th Rd. east of Chisholm Trail Rd.

Nicole E. Reidy, 36, Hillsboro, hit a deer at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 17 with a 2012 Dodge Caravan owned by Main Street Ministries of Hillsboro.

The minivan sustained damage regarded as disabling but did not require a tow truck.

US-56 north of 280th Rd.

Bryant M. Nold, 32, Wichita, hit a deer at 7:15 p.m. Dec. 17 with his 2013 Ford Taurus, which sustained damage listed as minor.

Old Mill Rd. at 130th Rd.

Kaitlyn R. Fowler, 17, Peabody, drove off the end of the road at a T intersection at 7:40 p.m. Dec. 17 and became stuck in a ditch.

Her 2004 Pontiac Grand Am, owned by Julie M. Pearson of the same address, was listed as disabled but did not require a tow truck.

Andrew M. Reynolds, 14, of a different Peabody address was a passenger.

A report by deputy Kaylan Miles blamed the accident on inattentive driving and driving too fast for conditions. No tickets were issued.

US-50 east of Old Mill Rd.

Frank M. Pecinovsky, 67, Marion, was killed at 7:05 a.m. Dec. 18 when an oncoming 2019 Mitsubishi Mirage crossed the centerline in windy weather and hit his 1991 Geo Tracker head-on.

Pecinovsky, extricated by Peabody firefighters from wreckage of his westbound Geo, was taken by Marion ambulance to St. Luke Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The driver of the eastbound Mitsubishi, Sandra K. Pierce, 66, Elm Mott, Texas, suffered non-disabling injuries and was taken by Hillsboro ambulance to Wesley Medical Center, Wichita, after being diverted there by Newton Medical Center.

Both were reported to have been wearing seat belts. Both vehicles were listed as destroyed.

Deputy Derek Fetrow’s report blamed the accident on wind and on inattentive driving by Pierce, including her crossing the centerline and driving the wrong way. No tickets were issued.

K-15 north of 110th Rd.

A 2019 Chevrolet Malibu owned by Peggy A. Clark, 66, rural Hillsboro, hit a deer at 5:58 a.m. Dec. 20. The Chevy, the driver and any occupants of which were not disclosed, sustained damage listed as minor.

Indigo Rd. south of 170th Rd.

Rhonda J. Ediger, 62, Hillsboro, hit an deer at 6:06 p.m. Dec. 21 with her 2017 Chevrolet Equinox, which sustained minor damage but was still functional.

Lynwood J. Becker, 91, and Ruby J. Baker, 87, also from Hillsboro, were passengers in the Chevy.
