A restaurant is in the process of being constructed at the Marion County Lake. Mr. and Mrs. George King of Wichita are putting in the new establishment.
One of the hottest games in Central Kansas will be tomorrow night when Marion and Council Grove meet for the championship football match of the Cottonwood Valley League.
The board of the proposed new Marion hospital is scheduled to meet Nov. 20 in the office of John E. Wheeler. Members will meet with an order of Catholic sisters who are to run the hospital.
“The Daffy Dills” has been selected as the annual Junior Class play to be presented Dec. 1 and 2. The play cast includes Charles Propp, Jeaneen Brose, Maurice Hollar, Janice Meisner, Max Herzet, Marjory Collett, Ethel Hiebert, Doris Meredith, Laura Jane Bredemeier, Marion Navrat, Edna Grimes, and Roberts Newsom.
Amos Henry, owner and operator of Henry Shoe Service, has announced the addition of Arnold Starkel, formerly of El Dorado, who is married to the former Virginia Hobson, as a shoe repairman.
