Cremated remains, contained in a single casket, of 100 victims of Japanese prison camps were interred recently at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis. Among the remains were those of Howard S. Schlingloff, a 1924 graduate of Marion High School and son of Mr. and Mrs. Nick Schlingloff.

Work started this week on the complete rebuilding of the Paul Seifert Motor Co. building. When completed, it will bring major improvement in the appearance of the Main St. business section of Marion.

More 90 pounds of silver dollars were paid out for eggs, cream, and produce at an open house Saturday at Schroeder Produce and Oil Co. Refreshments included 60 gallons of coffee and 75 dozen doughnuts. Seventy prizes also were awarded.
