Marion Creamery milk, ice cream, and cheese — local dairy products that are widely distributed in the area — are now packaged in bright new paper bottles and containers. Home-delivery costumers have their choice of paper or square glass containers.

Ideal Paint and Body Shop, Meadowbrook Ice Cream Store, and Marion Hardware recently have installed new neon signs in front of their places of business.

Elton Petersen, 19, suffered a serious and painful leg injury last Friday afternoon in an accident at Riddle Quarries, where he is employed.

The newly formed congregation of a Marion Catholic church will have a family picnic July 31 in Central Park. The church committee of the new congregation includes Ed Costello, Earl Priebe, Frank Tajchman, and Ed Sandwell.

Jacob Meier Jr., owner of Meier Shoe Clinic, returned Monday evening from Chicago, where he completed a four-week study at the American School of Practipedic. He now is qualified to scientifically fit shoes, examine feet, and adjust foot comfort appliances.
