An inspirational pageant was the culmination Sunday evening of many hours of work and rehearsal when the Evangelical United Brethren congregation presented it Galilean service at the Marion County Park and Lake. “Follow Me” was the title of the pantomime presentation.
Mary Jo Klenda, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Klenda of Marion, and Nancy Lou Vinduska, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mathias J. Vinduska of Lincolnville, were among graduates Sunday of St. Francis Hospital School of Nursing in Wichita.
Showing at the Mayflower Theatre in Florence on Friday and Saturday is “The Birds,” by Alfred Hitchcock. “Operation Petticoat” will be the feature Sunday and Monday.
Raymond Bina, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Bina of Pilsen, was injured in a Babe Ruth ballgame Monday at Cottonwood Falls as he slid into second base. He was taken to an Emporia Hospital and later to Kansas City, where he underwent plastic surgery to repair damage to his right cheekbone.
