In honor of Veterans Day, this issue features an article about Vietnam War veteran Bob Gillett, who lives at Marion County Lake.

Also featured are Chris, Tamra, Heather, and Molly Holub of Marion, all serving in the military, and Rick Mounts of Lehigh, recently returned from deployment in Iraq.

Attending “Chicago” at the Crown Uptown Theater in Wichita, an event planned by Marion Senior Center, were Bettie Batt, Janet Bryant, Mary Costello, Richard and Phyllis Hein, Sylvia Helmer, LaVaughn Klose, Estelle McCarty, Shirley Moore, Wilma Nice, Connie Rock, and Margaret Wilson.

As November is National Home Care Month, St. Luke Hospital congratulates Marion County Home Care employees Judy Carroll, Chris Combs, Mary Ann Conyers, Sharon Ewing, Janet Herzet, Loreen Hett, Ana Krause, Lynette Schmidt, and Margie Tajchman for home care’s 30 years of service.

The 16th annual Marion County Toy Run will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday at SherBowl Lanes, Marion.
