Congressman Jerry Moran toured St. Luke Hospital and Living Center on Thursday. Chief Executive Officer Jeremy Ensey is pictured as he shows Moran the emergency room, which will be included in an upcoming multimillion dollar renovation project planned by the hospital.

Special observances reported in this issue include the 50th wedding anniversaries of Leland and Kay Heidebrecht of Marion and Sandy and Gail Dody of Wichita and the 65th anniversary of Kermit and Ruth Ratzlaff of Hillsboro.

A car at Harvey House Museum in Florence will be open for tours after the Labor Day parade. Robert Harris and other volunteers have been restoring it inside and out to its original condition.

Five 300-pound hogs were roasted, and 24 gallons of baked beans were prepared Saturday for an annual hog roast sponsored by Tampa State Bank.
