A new paper made its appearance last week and floats under the name of Marion Banner. E.D. Hunt is announced as proprietor and business manager, and C.S. Triplett as editor. We extend the right hand of friendship to our new neighbors and shall be glad to have them help us whoop up the boom.
The new Catholic church in the now Catholic town in the south part of the county will be 45x104 feet in size, built of stone.
We understand that Mr. Jex contemplates building three new stone business buildings adjoining and similar to the handsome one now being completed for Roe Williams.
Chicago Lumber Co. is accumulating lumber at its new yard on the corner of 1st and Main Sts. and from appearances means business on an extensive scale.
The Presbyterians occupied their church for the first time in several months last Sunday. The Sabbath school will be re-organized next Sunday. Completion of the church has cost $800, and the edifice is now one of which the town, as well as the Presbyterians, may well be proud.
