Rosse Case, Al Richardson Guy Sacket, and Herbert Thorp were in Herington Monday evening attending a meeting of the officers of the Old Santa Fe Trail Association.

The local boosters are working to locate the trail through Marion, southwest through Aulne and Peabody, joining Meridian Rd. at Newton.

The new bank at Pilsen will be open for business within a few days. A very attractive building has been erected just west of Jos. Cerney’s store.

A man who comes from Nebraska will be cashier. Many of prominent people of the Pilsen community are stockholders.

A stroke of lightning hit the Masonic building yesterday afternoon and jarred one of the capstones loose but did no other damage.
