William Sears

William H. “Bill” Sears passed away peacefully March 3, 2017. He left a legacy of faith and service.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Elaine; sons, Matt Sears and wife MaryEllen and children Will and Maly of Adrian, Missouri, and Mike Sears and wife Liz and children Peter and Jonathan of Overland Park; brother Bob Sears and wife Mary of Lee’s Summit, Missouri; brothers-in-law Ed Slocombe and wife Ann of New Braunfels, Texas; and Warren Slocombe and wife Phyllis of Manhattan, Kansas; and three nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 5:30 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 8, at Abilene Community Bible Church.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 9, at Emmanuel Methodist Church.

In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the Abilene Community Bible Church or to Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.
