Wesley Fenske

Wesley R. Fenske, 97, Lost Springs, died Dec. 19 at Parkside Homes in Hillsboro. 

A funeral service will be 10 a.m. today at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Lincolnville. 

Interment with military rites will be in Lincolnville Cemetery. 

He was born April 13, 1918, to Otto and Emilie Fenske near Lincolnville. 

He fought with the army in the Battle of Normandy during WWII. 

On Aug. 1, 1942, he was married to Pauline Meyer.   He farmed near Lost Springs. 

He was preceded in death by his wife, all of his siblings, and a great-granddaughter. 

He is survived by:  daughters, Frosty Wise of Olathe; Margaret Fenske and Mary Sharp, both of Blue Springs, Missouri; sons, John Fenske of Valley Center, and Robert Fenske of Mulvane; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

A memorial fund has been established in care of Zeiner Funeral Home, 205 Elm St., Marion KS 66861.
