Vogt named all-state
Led by Lauryn Vogt, Hillsboro Trojans swimmers who qualified for state tied for 11th as a team over the weekend in Topeka.
Vogt became state champion in the 50 freestyle as well as winning third in the 100 butterfly. She was named to the all-state team for classes 1-5A.
The 200 freestyle relay team of Ainsley Duell, Tanner Plett, Vogt, and Talia Jost placed fifth.
Centre’s Olivia Carlson finished fifth in the KSHSAA State Diving Championships last week in Topeka.
She competed in the 1A to 5A division as the only 1A diver. All other competitors were from 5A schools.
