Vernon Funk

Services for Vernon Funk, 69, Lehigh, who died last Thursday at McPherson Hospital, will be 11 a.m. this Thursday at Trinity Mennonite Church, Hillsboro.

Pastor Norma Duerksen will officiate. Relatives will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the service at the church. Burial will be at Haven of Rest Cemetery, rural Hillsboro.

Born May 19, 1953, in Goessel to Ralph and Margaret (Unruh) Funk, he married Rose York on Nov. 2, 1974, in Hillsboro.

She survives along with son Brian Funk of Goessel; daughters Kim Funk of Newton and Jenny Green of Republic, Missouri; brother Melvin Funk of Pueblo, Colorado; sisters Carol Houdyshell of Wichita, Linda Funk of Wichita, and Annette King of Hillsboro; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
