Sylvia Ruth Jantz, 80, retired elementary school teacher, died Feb. 8 in Hesston.

She was the daughter of Peter Cornelius and Anna (Richert) Andres.

Her parents and a sister, Esther Mae McDonald, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband, Wallace, of Hesston; two sons, Jeff of Durango, Colo., and Tim of Pennsylvania; two brothers, Eldon Andres of Peabody and Homer Andres of Ferndale, Wash.; a sister, Della Wiebe of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and four grandchildren.

Services were Monday at Hesston Mennonite Church.

Memorials have been established with the Mennonite Central Committee in care of Hesston Mennonite Church, 309 S Main St, Hesston KS 67062 and Hesston College Music Department, Box 3000, Hesston.
