Seniors celebrate reopening

Marion Senior Center

Becky Hogue decorated the Marion Senior Center with a Hawaiian theme and ice cream was served on the first day it reopened.

Keith Allison paid for carpet cleaning when the center was closed.

Gerald and Jan Wiens painted the women’s restroom and installed new floors.

The center also received autographed copies of Lowell Ensey’s book “Schools and Teachers of Marion County, Kansas 1865-1969.”

Bud and Tressie Kelsey are new substitute meal delivery drivers.

Sue Clough moved to Wyoming. She served on the center board and the county senior citizens board.

The center will be host for the county board on Friday.
