SENIOR CENTER:   Seniors celebrate iconic rodent's birthday

Senior Center

Marion Senior Center patrons celebrated the birthday of iconic cartoon character Mickey Mouse on Nov. 18 with a display of Mickey Mouse paraphernalia and the official club song, which was led by Connie Fisher.

Laurie Miesse brought green tomatoes to share, which will sit until they ripen or can be used in various recipes.

A game of Thanksgiving trivia was played Nov. 22.

Seasonal song “Come Ye Thankful People Come” was led by Sue Clough with piano accompanist Keith Allison. A reading of “Twas the Night Before Thanksgiving” also was performed.

Senior meals may be picked up each day if patrons choose not to eat at the center. Meal delivery also is provided for patrons unable to eat at the center.

Lydia Gates will play the piano Dec. 7 after lunch.
