Seniors advised to check closings
Marion Senior Center
The no-school, no-meals rule was challenged Jan. 17. After Marion’s school opening was delayed, the cook and manager reported for duty as usual, but school later was canceled. The women sent out meals-on-wheels, and a small group of diners showed up.
Seniors are encouraged to watch TV listings for school closure information.
Cathy Henderson brought treats for her birthday Jan. 16.
Jim Gates has volunteered as a twice-a-week kitchen helper.
A memorial box for Harlow Warneke is available.
The Lutheran church bunch ate at the center Jan. 22. Barbara Smith gave a report on her trip to Iceland.
Elvis will be at the center at 7 p.m. Jan. 31.
