Route 77 Pit Stop for sale

Lincolnville’s Route 77 Pit Stop convenience store is in need of a new owner.

Keith and Sabrina Shields, who have owned the pit stop for a little over a year, want to sell it to give them time to take care of their third child.

“I have a baby due in a couple months and I’m not going to be able to run it with a newborn,” Sabrina said, “because you got to be here a lot of the time.”

The stop, located between Marion and Herington, offers Hunt Brothers pizza, a few homemade breakfast items, drinks, tobacco, and beer.

Everything is included in the sale except for a few decorations, and all the Hunt Bros. equipment is paid off, Sabrina said.

“I would like to see it stay open,” Sabrina said. “I don’t want to have to close it because we definitely do need something like this in this area.”
