Feb. 19 — A child custody dispute in the 700 block of S. Lincoln St., report of sparks emitting from a streetlight on B St., and report of children left unattended in a vehicle were investigated.

Feb. 20 — A burglary report in the 100 block of Grand St., a harassment complaint in the 100 block of N. Washington St., and a dog running free in the 300 block of N. Main St. were investigated.

Feb. 21 — A report of a suspicious person in the 200 block of S. Jefferson St. child custody dispute and a harassment complaint were investigated. A welfare check in the 200 block of S. Jefferson St. was performed.

Feb. 22 — An abandoned vehicle, a traffic complaint on US-56, and a dog running free in the 700 block of S. Lincoln St. were investigated.

Thursday — A noise complaint in the 200 block of S. Birch St. and a report of two suspicious people were investigated. Officers also assisted in the search of two children who were possibly lost.

Friday — Sheriff’s deputies were assisted with a DUI stop and a report of a suspicious person at the Family Aquatic Center was investigated.

Saturday — A harassment complaint in the 400 block of N. Ash St. and a noise complaint in the 200 block of S. Birch St. were investigated.

Feb. 20 — Officers assisted in freeing a cat stuck in a fence. An animal complaint in the 200 block of S. Cedar St. was investigated.

Feb. 21 — A suspicious vehicle was investigated.

Feb. 22 — A report of a man actively cutting his wrist in the 110 block of E. Main was investigated.

Thursday — A suicidal man was transported to Osawatomie State Hospital.

Friday — A report of possible trespassing was investigated; officers determined no crime was committed. A broken-down vehicle near Kellison and Freeborn Sts. was investigated. A report of possible theft in the 1500 block of Victory Ln. was investigated.

Saturday — A dog running free in the 300 block of W. Santa Fe St. was captured.

Sunday — A report of suspicious activity near Cedar and Lawrence Sts. and a non-injury accident on S. 1st St. were investigated.

Feb. 21 — No water service papers were served at 411 N. Sycamore St. and 806 N. Olive St.

Feb. 22 — A case for an inoperative vehicle at 411 N. Sycamore St. was filed.

Friday — A gun stolen from El Dorado was recovered and taken to El Dorado Police department; Peabody police chief Bruce Burke did not provide further information. A report of an attempted break-in in the 700 block of N. Sycamore St. was investigated. A gas meter was struck, Burke provided no further information.
