June 18 — A hit-and-run, non-injury accident in the 300 block of S. Washington St. and a juvenile disturbance at Grand and Ash Sts. were investigated.

June 19 — A warning for a headlight out was issued, and lost property was recovered.

June 20 — Citations for speeding and failure to stop at a stop sign were issued. Reports of juveniles throwing eggs at cars on Main St. and causing a disturbance at the city swimming pool were investigated.

Thursday — A warning for using an engine break was issued. A fox sighting in the 700 block of S. Washington St. was investigated.

Friday — A car-deer accident on 190th, a complaint of a barking dog in the 500 block of S. Main St., and several reports of a fox in the 700 block of S. Washington St. were investigated. A person believed to be suicidal was transferred to Larned State Hospital.

Saturday — A dog that was possibly in danger in the 300 block of N. Washington St. was investigated.

Sunday — A report of a vehicle burglary in the 200 block of S. Madison St. was investigated. A citation for hanging out of a sunroof was issued. Warnings for texting while driving and a headlight out were issued.

MARION

July 18 — Officers notified city crews of a damaged section of roadway at Marion County Ace Hardware, assisted a water deliveryman stranded at US-56 and Eisenhower Dr., and were called to City Hall to deal with an irate customer, but the customer had left before they arrived.

Police also stood by during a civil matter in the 400 block of S. 4th St.

July 19 — An arrest warrant was served in the 200 block of S. 3rd St., and a motorist standard near Remington Rd. and K-256 was assisted. Officers on foot checked downtown business doors.

July 20 — Officers talked to a resident about a broken-down vehicle in the 700 block of S. Roosevelt St.

Thursday — Officers checked motorists’ speed with radar in the 400 block of S. Roosevelt St. and checked on a resident’s welfare in the 1300 block of E. Main St.

Police dog Legion assisted sheriff’s officers in Ramona.

Friday – A noise complaint in the 300 block of Eisenhower Dr. and a suspicious post on Facebook were investigated

Officers met with a juvenile about possible child abuse that occurred in another jurisdiction.

Another welfare check was provided in the 1300 block of E. Main St., suspicious activity was investigated in the 600 block of S. Cedar St., and a US-56 motorist was cited for having an expired license and no license tag light.

Saturday — Officers gave water to a pedestrian walking on US-56 at Remington Rd.

Calls included a welfare check in the 900 block of Sherman St., a driving complaint on US-56, and a dispute among neighbors in the 400 block of N. Lincoln St. The dispute was resolved before police arrived.

Two motorists on US-56 were warned about for having no light illuminating their vehicles’ license plates.

Sunday — Police investigated a report of suspicious activity the night before in the 400 block of N. Freeborn St. and an open door in the 900 block of Industrial Dr. in the 400 block of N. Freeborn St. and an open door in the 900 block of Industrial Dr.
