May 2 — A welfare check in the 400 block of S. Date St was performed. Suspicious activity in the 100 block of W. B St. and a parking complaint in the 600 block of S. Ash St. were investigated.

May 3 — A report of a an adult possibly furnishing alcohol to minors, suspicious activity in the 400 block of S. Main St., and a dog complaint in the 100 block of S. Birch St. were investigated.

May 4 — A report of a truant student in the 300 block of Juniper St., a complaint of phone harassment, and a report of suspicious activity in the 200 block of S. Jefferson were investigated. A minor traffic accident in the 200 block of Juniper St., parking complaint in the 400 block of S. Adams St., and report of someone yelling in the 200 block of S. Birch St. also were investigated.

Thursday — An abandoned vehicle citation was issued, and a welfare check was performed in the 200 block of S. Main St. Officers responded to a report of a criminal threat with a gun in the 100 block of S. Main St. where one individual was taken into custody.

Friday — A report of a child custody dispute and a possible emotional abuse concern in the 300 block of W. D St. were investigated. A dog complaint at Hillsboro Elementary School, report of a reckless driver on Indigo Rd., and a noise complaint at F and Washington Sts. were investigated.

Saturday — A 911 disconnect at Hillsboro High School and a suspicious person in the 900 block of E. D St. were investigated.

May 2 — A report of a vehicle driving through a yard in the 100 block of W. Santa Fe St. was investigated. A dog-at-large was taken to Animal Health Center. A report of a suspicious person was investigated. Verbal warnings for speeding and no tag light were issued.

May 3 — A report of harassing text messages was investigated.

May 4 — A dog-at-large was investigated.

Thursday — Property was removed from the 800 block of Roosevelt St. Suspicious activity in the 400 block of S. Cedar St. was investigated.

Friday — A verbal warning for a tail lamp out was issued, and a truancy case was investigated.

Saturday — A water hydrant was discovered on in Central Park. An intoxicated pedestrian was located in an alley and transported to a residence in town. A verbal warning for a tail lamp out was issued. A report of an out-of-control person at St. Luke Hospital was investigated.

Sunday — A juvenile boy was arrested and taken to juvenile intake after a disturbance in the 500 block of N. Coble St. was investigated.

May 3 — Police opened a case of sexual exploitation of a child and sexual solicitation of a child. Search warrants will be executed and charges are pending on two juvenile suspects, according to police chief Bruce Burke.

Friday — Police conducted a military records check.

Saturday — Officers assisted Marion County Sheriff’s officers with a person who was shooting a rifle from the Cottonwood River bridge east of Florence.
