Hillsboro

April 11 — A complaint of a pit bull in city limits was investigated. Drug paraphernalia was recovered. Traffic enforcement was performed for an expired registration and an equipment violation.

April 12 — An IRS scam was investigated. A speeding citation was issued. A business alarm was investigated.

April 13 — A harassment complaint was investigated, an out-of-control juvenile was arrested and transported to Junction City Detention Center. Traffic enforcement was performed on two motorists who were speeding.

Thursday — Credit card fraud was investigated.

Friday — Possible animal neglect, a residential alarm, a report of a possible prowler, and a report of criminal trespass were investigated. Traffic enforcement was performed after a motorist failed to stop.

Saturday — A phone scam was investigated. Traffic enforcement was performed for illegal display of a tag. A dog complaint was investigated. A pit bull in city limits was investigated.

Sunday —A business alarm was investigated.

April 11 — Verbal warnings for speeding, failure to signal, and white light to the rear, failure to yield for pedestrians in a crosswalk, and no headlamp were issued. A citation for an illegal tag was issued. A report of an IRS scam was investigated. Two reports of criminal damage to property in the 100 block of N. Coble St. and the 100 block of N. Thorp St. were taken.

April 12 — Citations for speeding and no proof of liability insurance were issued. A report of an out-of-control juvenile at Oasis was investigated. A nuisance property in the 200 block of Garfield St. was investigated. A report of criminal damage to property in the 300 block of Eisenhower St. was taken. A report of a possible suicidal person was investigated.

April 13 — A report of an intoxicated person in the 100 block of N. Freeborn St. was investigated, but no action was taken. Two reports of suspicious activity were investigated. A report of a possible theft that turned out to be a civil issue was investigated. A 911 disconnect was investigated. A verbal warning for driving while texting was issued.

Thursday — A 911 disconnect was investigated and turned out to be a malfunctioning phone line.

Friday — A report of a stolen vehicle in the 400 block of S. Fourth St. was discovered to be a civil issue. A report of someone putting branches on a neighbors property in the 200 block of S. Roosevelt St. was investigated and the branch mover was discovered to be relocating branches to the alleyway for clean up week. A verbal warning was issued for no headlights near Elma and Main Sts. A citation was issued for speeding and driving without a driver’s license. A downtown business was searched and secured after a door was discovered open in the 100 block of E. Main St.

Saturday — Verbal warnings for a brake light out and speeding were issued. Two non-injury accidents were investigated. A 911 disconnect was investigated. Breath tests were performed on students attending prom and after-prom activities

April 12 — Molly Stahlheber, Peabody, was arrested on a bond revocation warrant from Marion County District Court.

A disc golf Frisbee was found at Peabody City Park and turned in at Peabody Police station. Owner may claim by contacting police department, (620) 983-2133.

Police opened an investigation into a case of sexual exploitation of a child.

Saturday — Police began an investigation into a case of domestic battery.
