Dec. 7 — Lost property was recovered on US-56, a non-injury accident was investigated in the 700 block of S. Lincoln St., and traffic enforcement on a vehicle with an equipment violation was performed.
Dec. 8 — A vehicle going the wrong way down a one-way road was investigated and a vehicle that entered a restricted access point at Hillsboro high school were investigated.
Dec. 9 — A residential alarm in the 1000 block of 230th St. and a non-injury accident in the 100 block of W. Grand Ave. were investigated. Gun locks were issued to a Hillsboro resident.
Thursday — A motorist was stopped for speeding in a school zone.
Friday — Four motorists were stopped for equipment violations, another for running a stop sign, and a complaint of a trailer with no lights was investigated.
Saturday — A motorist who allegedly failed to stop at a stop sign was arrested on charges of driving under the influence and criminal possession of a firearm. Four other motorists were stopped for speeding, operating a 4-wheeler in city limits, and two equipment violations. Suspicious activity was investigated in the Carriage Hills area.
Sunday — A suspicious vehicle parked at Main Street Ministries was investigated and traffic enforcement was performed on a motorist who allegedly failed to use a turn signal.

Dec. 7 — Police took a report of a burglary at 604 E. 2nd.
Dec. 9 — Police took a report of a stolen motor vehicle. The case is under investigation.
