July 31 — Investigated complaint from individual out walking around midnight who thought somebody was following him. Officer checked the area of 400 S. Birch St. but nobody was found. Investigated complaint of dogs running at large in the area of Oakwood Apartment Complex. Picked up dog at large. Issued citation for failure to wear seatbelt.

Aug. 1 — Investigated non-injury accident at Sonic Drive-In and people standing by business at 3:50 a.m. Attempted to serve warrant in the 300 block of N. Washington St. Assisted Topeka police with welfare check of child. Child ended up being OK in Marion.

Aug. 2 — Investigated report of possible drug deal in the park. Officer met with juveniles on scene and was advised they had been approached by person asking about getting some dope. Investigated complaint of dogs at large. Conducted follow-up investigation on recovered stolen firearm. Traffic enforcement for failure to secure load. Assisted owner with locating a dog.

Thursday —

Reports of smoke at city shop and fireworks being shot off near 1st and Jefferson Sts. were investigated. Assisted with non-injury accident at Falcon and 210th Rds. Traffic enforcement for speeding.

Friday — Assisted a motorist with a flat tire and an injury accident at 160th and Indigo Rds. Responded to an alarm at TC Solutions. Took a report of a stolen tag from a pickup truck. Traffic enforcement for illegal U-turn.

Saturday — Investigated non-injury accident in the 100 block of W. Grand St. and issued four citations. Issued warning for child not being in approved booster seat and citations for speeding and disobeying a stop sign. Attempted to catch a dog at large at Adams and C Sts.

Sunday — Issued citations for disobeying a stop sign and no insurance. Took a citizen report of child neglect in the 300 block of N. Washington St.

Aug. 1 — Opened a violation of protection order case.

Aug. 2 — Took a theft report in the 500 block of N, Sycamore St., and another at Westview Manor. A vehicle that was a hazard and illegally parked was towed from the 100 block of N. Maple St.

Thursday — Took a report of a dog bite incident in the 100 block of N. Walnut St.
