Jan. 11 — Officers did a welfare check for Department of Children and Families, took a complaint about illegal dumping on private property, investigated a non-injury accident, helped with traffic control at an accident in the county, and did a welfare check in the 200 block of S. Madison St.

Jan. 12 — Officers issued a citation for violation of driving restrictions at Ash and 1st. Sts., assisted Kansas Bureau of Investigation, and investigated a non-injury accident on private property with no report taken.

Jan. 13 — Officers investigated a report of a person on a security camera attempting to enter a building, assisted KBI with an investigation, did a welfare check in the 300 block of N. Lincoln St., and assisted a citizen with possible drug paraphernalia at a rental property.

Jan. 14 — Officers assisted motorists at Ash St. and Orchard Dr. and Ash and US-56, assisted Marion police with an unemployment fraud investigation, and returned lost property.

Jan. 15 — Officers took a report of a broken window on a vehicle, did a car seat inspection, and assisted Marion police with a burglary case.

Jan. 16 — Officers responded to residential alarms in the 100 block of N. Adams St. and the 2000 block of Jade, finding everything OK.

Jan. 17 — Officers took a dog at large in the 400 block of E. A St. to the vet.

Jan. 11 — Officers assisted with an injury accident at US-56 near Remington, met with people who found an injured cat, and met with a concerned citizen in the 400 block of S. Roosevelt St.

Jan. 12 — Officers located a dog at large and contacted the owner, picked up a found license plate in the 200 block of S. Thorp St., looked for a reckless driver on Main St., checked on a 911 disconnect in the 800 block of S. Roosevelt and found it was a child playing with the phone, issued a citation to a driver with a suspended license, investigated an unknown smell in the 300 block of N. Lincoln and determined it was tar from a roofing crew, investigated a vehicle striking a mailbox in the 500 block of N. Roosevelt, and investigated a report of banging on the side of a house in the 700 block of S. Freeborn, finding it to be a loose board blown by wind.

Jan. 14 — Officers issued a warning for speeding near Main and 2nd St., spoke with someone in reference to an unemployment scam, served an arrest warrant in the 100 block of Forrest, and checked on a suspicious vehicle in the 500 block of S. 3rd St.

Jan. 15 — Officers notified the electric crew of a power outage, investigated a report of a reckless driver on US-56, spoke with someone who had questions about a potential scam, and issued citations for speeding on US-56 and Main St. near 5th St.
