Activity reports

Law enforcement agencies provided these reports of their activities this past week. Routine activities such as patrols, inspections, training, report-writing, and assistance to other agencies are excluded.

Hillsboro

March 17 – A person reported their electric meter had been tampered with in the 900 block of E. D St.

March 18 – Several suspicious trucks reported in the 300 block of E. 1st St. turned out to be construction vehicles. Suspicious activity was reported in the 200 block of E. A St. Several juveniles at Tabor College football field were told to leave because campus was shut down. A suspicious person reported in the 700 block of S. Washington St. turned out to be a person visiting relatives.

Thursday – Debris was removed from the street in the 200 block of N. Main St.

Friday – Debris was removed from the street. Officers provided a civil standby for a landlord-tenant dispute on Madison St.

Saturday – A field fire reported on 190th Rd. proved to be a controlled burn.

Marion

March 16 – A dog owner received citations for a barking dog and no dog tags in the 100 block of Washington St. Motorists were warned for speeding on N. Roosevelt St., and US-56 near Upland Rd., and for failing to signal near Main and Eisenhower Sts.

March 17 – A dog owner was cited for loose dogs near Main and 4th Sts. A motorist was warned for an obstructed vehicle tag near Main and Lincoln Sts.

March 18 – Loose dogs were reported in the 400 block of S. 4th St., but they were returned home by the time police arrived. A civil issue was reported in the 500 block of N. Cedar St.

Thursday – A found wallet was turned in to law enforcement. A possible threat was reported to police.

Saturday – A person met with law enforcement about a civil dispute in the 400 block of N. Freeborn St. A loose dog in the 1400 block of E. Main St. was returned to its owner.

Sunday – A dog complaint was reported in the 200 block of N. Cedar St.

March 16 – Reports of a sexual assault at Westview Manor turned out to be unfounded.

Thursday – A trespass order was filed in the 100 block of W. 6th St. A burglary was reported.
