Ohio man leads officers on chase through county

The driver of a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado stolen from Dayton International Airport, Ohio, led Marion County law enforcement on pursuit Tuesday, southbound on K-15.

The truck, which had Ohio tags, crossed into the north end of Marion County on K-15 at 5 p.m.

The driver evaded Marion County Sherriff’s deputies, and Hillsboro police, for 30 minutes before being stopped at K-15 and 170th Rd.

Three large dogs were located in the vehicle, but it was unmentioned by officers on scene whether they belonged to the driver or the truck owner.

The animals, which were aggressive according to scanner reports, were taken to Spur Ridge Vet Hospital in Marion.
