Burglary
$500 worth of damage on a 1999 Ford Ranger pickup owned by Edwin Klenda, 56, Marion, was reported as having happened between 7 p.m. Oct. 20 and 8 a.m. Oct. 21.

Pedestrian under the influence of alcohol, disorderly conduct
Justin Cecil Croft, 26, Hillsboro, was arrested on suspicion of disorderly conduct and pedestrian under the influence of alcohol at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at 412 W. B St. after allegedly arguing with family members and becoming disorderly with a police officer at the scene.
Aggravated battery, endangering a child, criminal restraint, battery, violation of a protection from abuse order
Michael Newman II, 25, Hillsboro, was arrested on suspicion of aggravated battery, endangering a child, criminal restraint, and battery at 9:53 a.m. Thursday. Police said a 26-year-old Hillsboro woman reported that Newman had allegedly physically abused her and her 2-year-old son since Oct. 25. He also allegedly made her fear for her safety if she told law enforcement, according to police.
After Newman was arrested, he was served a protection from abuse order in Marion County Jail, which he allegedly broke the terms of by calling the woman’s cell phone three times between 3:50 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. Thursday from jail.

Driving while license suspended
Corey A. Shields, 21, Marion, was arrested on suspicion of driving while license suspended at an unspecified time Saturday in the 600 block of E. Main St.
