Theft

Thirty pieces of lumber valued at $540 were reported stolen between 6 p.m. May 27 and 9:30 a.m. May 28 from a carport at an apartment complex being remodeled in the 100 block of N. Jefferson St. in Hillsboro.

Owner Robert Myers of Travelers Rest, South Carolina, reported the theft.
