Theft of property or services
Frisbie Construction employee James Butler reported property stolen between 3 p.m. Jan. 1 and 3 p.m. Jan. 7. from a construction site in the 500 block of W. 7th St., Lincolnville. The property, including 10-gauge power cords, hand tools, welding leads, and quick connects, were valued at around $1,319.
Marion
Burglary, criminal damage to property
Marion County Transfer Station officials reported the theft of $20 in change and $120 damage to a window and door sometime between 3 p.m. Jan. 9 and 7:30 a.m. Jan. 11.
Theft
Cody Christopher Law, 37, of Marion, reported the theft of two firearms, a Sig P226 X-Five 9mm and a Colt Anaconda 44 Magnum, with a combined value of $2,900, between Dec. 1 2015 and Jan. 1 2016 at 101 Burbidge St.
Endangering a child, possession of controlled substance, possession of marijuana, and parking in a prohibited area
Bradley A. Schmidt, 32, of McPherson, was arrested on charges of possession of controlled substance, possession of marijuana, child endangerment, and parking/standing/stopping in a prohibited area at 9 a.m. Friday at 2nd and Main Sts.
Officer Mike Stone allegedly smelled an odor of marijuana when he stopped to talk with Schmidt about parking in a prohibited area. A canine officer, Legion, was deployed and allegedly located $5 of marijuana and $50 of hydrocodone, which was reportedly in an accessible place to the child.
Burglary, criminal trespass, possession of marijuana
Christian Pedersen, 42, of Marion, reported the theft of one Rockwell drill, five Milwaukee drills, and three Milwaukee drill chargers, with a combined value of $578, which occurred at approximately 8 p.m. Thursday at 413 N. Coble St.
Austin Pedersen, 20, of Marion, was arrested Saturday on two counts of burglary, two counts of criminal trespass, and possession of .119 grams of marijuana.
Police reports indicated Austin Pedersen was suspected of using drugs or narcotics during the time of the incident.
