Music students named to ensembles

Students from four county schools will perform with regional Kansas Music Educators Association ensembles.

Five instrumental and 11 vocal musicians will perform Dec. 2 at Wichita East High School with KMEA South Central District bands and choirs.

Students auditioned Nov. 4.

Five Goessel students were selected for 1234A band: Stephany Meyer on clarinet, Kirsten Horne on trumpet, and Jennifer Horne, Julianna Schrag, and Elizabeth Alderfer on horn.

Seven students from Hillsboro, Marion, and Peabody-Burns were selected for the mixed choir. From Hillsboro, Jenna Hinerman and Chloe Pankratz will sing alto one, while Brodie Rathbone, Caleb Rempel, and Colin Settle will sing bass one. From Marion, Caleb Hett will sing bass one. Aubrey Craig of Peabody-Burns will sing soprano one.

Four students were chosen for women’s choir. Elyse Boden of Goessel and Sarah Diener of Hillsboro will sing alto two. Eva Franz of Hillsboro will sing soprano two. Bailey Baker from Marion will sing alto one.
