Marion business Miles by Design Salon and Spa will relocate from its Main St. location to the former Superior Wine and Liquor building at 1240 Commercial St in Marion Business Park, north of US-56.
Owner Karen Miles said interior demolition was nearly complete, and remodeling would start this week.
“I have the blisters on my hands to prove it,” Miles said. “We’re hoping to be all moved sometime in April or May.”
The bigger building will allow her business to expand, she said.
“We’re excited to be able to customize the layout and design of the salon and spa to fit our needs,” Miles said. “We are trying to really focus on making it a unique experience for our guests.”
She said the interior would have a “modern chic look” once it is complete.
“We might add some iron, metal, and other rustic touches to give it an industrial look, too,” she said.
Miles said all hair, skin, nails, and massage services would remain the same. She said she hopes the new location draws more customers from the highway.
“We want to make it a great asset for Marion,” Miles said.
Miles by Design will remain open at its Main St. location until the move.
When it happens, Miles hopes to close for one weekend when the remodel is complete.
However, she does not know when the move will be.
