Marion High School graduate Elizabeth Goentzel is among 253 dependents of Koch Industries employees who will receive scholarships for the 2016-17 academic year.

Daughter of John Goentzel and Marlene Hudgens, she is in her fourth year at Fort Hays State University.

Since 1970, the Fred and Mary Koch Foundation has awarded dependents a total 3,631 scholarships worth more than $5 million.
