MHS forensics takes 4th at Emporia

Marion High School forensics team placed fourth Saturday at an Emporia tournament.

The Warriors dominated improvised duet acting with Hap Waddell and Haley Wattson winning the event, followed by Jared Rahe and Austin Neufeld in second, Luisa Junqueira and Sam Kelsey in fifth, and Kaitlyn Goebel and Kyle Pierce in sixth.

Rahe placed second in prose, Junqueira took second in solo humorous, and Waddell came in third in poetry.

In solo serious, Charlie Nordquist took third and Sam Kelsey placed fourth.

Nordquist and Wattson also placed third in duet.

Rahe, Junqueira, Neufeld, Waddell and Wattson qualified for state in their respective events.
