You can don an ugly sweater and run, eat pancakes, sell your old Christmas décor and ornaments, and much more Nov. 30 in Marion.

The Holly Jolly Christmas celebration is an all-day, Christmas-themed festival planned for small business Saturday.

The city will have its first Christmas parade since 2014 at 6 p.m..

The day will start with a 7 a.m. Ugly Sweater Reindeer Run. Registration is at Marion Community Center.

From 8 to 10 a.m., Boy Scouts will hold a pancake feed at the community center. Funds raised will go to the club.

A Jingle Junk Sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. gives customers an opportunity to snag Christmas swag. Vendors can reserve table space and sell their own merchandise or people can donate Christmas items that will be sold to support Community Christmas, which provides gifts for needy families.

To reserve a space to sell merchandise as a vendor, call the Parks and Recreation office at (620) 382-3425.

Kids can visit Santa at Marion City Library from 10 to 11:30 a.m.

CB Baked Goods will have cookie decorating from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Girl Scouts will serve chili and soup from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the community center and live reindeer will be on display at the Elgin parking lot. Chili and soup donations will support Girl Scouts.

Marion Historical Museum will have an Old Fashioned Christmas from noon to 4 p.m.

Downtown businesses will have an Elf on the Shelf scavenger hunt. Participants can pick up a card at any business, find the Elf in that business, and turn the completed card in to CB Baked Goods for a prize.

Yazel-Megli-Zeiner Funeral Homes will serve cookies and hot chocolate from 2 to 5 pm.

Dinner will be served at Historic Elgin Hotel from 4 to 9 p.m. A live nativity scene will be 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Bicycle decoration for the Christmas parade will be 5 p.m. at the Baptist Church.

The parade begins at 6 p.m. with lighting of the downtown.
