Marion FFA presents booth at state fair

The Marion/Florence FFA Chapter organized and constructed a booth showcasing agriculture in Marion County for the state fair county collective booth competition.

Crops, grasses, fruits, and vegetables are displayed in collective booths, which are scored according to the variety and quality of the commodities shown.

FFA members Caleb Hett, Carley Stapleford and Cassie Meyer helped set up the booth, which displayed 60 different samples and placed 3rd in the competition. It is displayed in the Kansas Showcase building across from the Bison Arena at the state fairgrounds.

Producers that helped with the booth this year included Alan Hett, Jirak Brothers Produce, Alan Boese, Kim Koop, Eugene Just, Bob and JoAnn Good, William Kroupa, Marion FFA Garden, Randy Svitak, Ken Stuchlik, Barb Hein, Kelly Berhnardt, Jeff Bina, Mark Meisinger, Don Hett, Russel Funk, Marty Kroupa, Rickey Roberts, Marion County Extension, and Cooperative Grain and Supply.
