Marion County Democrats meet

Marion County Democrats met Saturday in the Santa Fe Room at Marion City Library.

County chairman Eileen Sieger reported working on the election board at Eastmoor United Methodist church. Janet Bryant worked on the resolution board at the courthouse.

Martin Holler reported that four of the six scholarships awarded have been paid.

Lauren Helmer will set up a social media page. The group chose a sunflower logo prepared by Lydia Gates.

The group began planning for a candidate forum to be held before the August 2018 primary election, with gubernatorial and congressional candidates invited.

The next meeting will be at 10 a.m. Jan. 6, tentatively set at Marion City Library.
