Larry Glover

Larry Stanley Glover, 75, of Marion, Kansas passed away on Sunday, March 7, 2021 at the age of 75.

He was born Aug. 25, 1945, in Marion to Sam and Elsie (Marler) Glover.

He was a very quiet person. He minded his own business and never bothered anyone. Larry worked for the city of Marion for many years as a sanitation specialist and he also worked in Moundridge in the manufacturing of mobile homes.

He had a love of reading and had a very large collection of books. Larry’s main interest was history. He read numerous books about history throughout his lifetime.

When he wasn’t reading or working, he was spending as much time as possible with his nieces and nephews. He treated them as though they were his own children. There are many fond memories of going to movies with Uncle Larry and eating all of the ice cream, ding dongs, fries, and any other junk food you can think of from Burger Shake. Uncle Larry would also take the kids to the park and shopping at Duckwalls in Marion. He was a very special man that will be greatly missed by all that knew him and loved him.

Larry is preceded in death by his parents; brother Gary Glover; and sister Deborah Landerville.

Larry is survived by his sister, Deanna (and husband Terry P.) Steiner; nieces, Brenda Gladfelter and Shirley (and husband Russ) Mullin; and nephews, Loren (and wife Jolene) Keating and Terry A Steiner.

Memorial donations in Larry’s name can be made to the Marion Library.

No services are scheduled at this time.
