Hardware store shows off new line

Kevin and Nicole Suderman had been looking for an opportunity to expand their power mower business.
When the 3,800-square-foot space that formerly housed The Lumberyard became available, they jumped at the chance.
“We seized the opportunity for that building,” Nicole Suderman said.
They added a lift for heavy equipment and did a few repairs to the shop, and are enjoying added showroom along with two employees.
“It’s been really good,” she said. “Many people did not realize we had a mower shop and offered the Gravely mower line. This will be a way to call attention to that.”
In addition to power and push mowers, 2S Outdoor Power has a small engine repair shop, Echo handheld products, and a line of power equipment available for rent.
“If you are looking for an upgrade on your mower or need maintenance, come see us,” she said.
The Sudermans have begun stocking gardening plants and supplies.
“We’ve had quite a bit of sales already,” she said. “Potatoes and onions are going in the ground now along with lettuce and spinach.”
2S Outdoor Power is open from 8 to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 to 5 p.m. Saturday.
