Happy Hustlers 4-H club was called to order by Payton Harms on Feb. 6 at Marion Christian Church with 24 members, four leaders, and nine parents in attendance. Jackson Salsbury led the flag salute, and Cassie Meyer led the 4-H pledge. Roll call was, “What do you want to be when you grow up?”

Corin Parmley gave the treasurer’s report and said that the balance was still $714.57. Tristan Williams reported that the January meeting had been put in the newspaper. For council representative’s report, Cassie Meyer said that there wouldn’t be a meeting until Feb. 13, and then she gave a parliamentarian report.

During project reports, Wanda Williams spoke in the absence of Cathy Martin. She said that there would be a Dr. Seuss day event at 2 p.m. Feb. 12, there would be a meeting for the reading club at the Sports and Aquatics Center, and that Cathy would have the club shirts at the next meeting. Wanda also told us about her foods project where kids made goodie sacks for the food bank.

In the absence of Tina Groening, Marsha Meyer spoke for her and told us that the Exploring 4-H group would have a meeting from 10 a.m. to noon Feb. 11.

Cassie Meyer made a motion to reimburse Wanda for the snacks that the foods project group will be making for Dr. Seuss day. The motion passed.

The next meeting will be 7 p.m. March 6 at Marion Christian Church. Lane Smith, Maria and Alexandra Carlson, and Corin Parmley are signed up for talks. The James and Kraus families had refreshments.
