CLUB REPORT
Happy Hustlers
Presentations on French toast by Maria Carlson, tarantulas by Charlotte James, and Legos by Jaxon Salsbury were among the highlights of Happy Hustlers 4-H club meeting at 7 p.m. June 5 at Marion Christian Church.
Twenty-two members answered roll by naming their favorite 4-H project. Five leaders and four parents also attended.
Club members heard that county fair entries will be accepted July 1 through 11. Volunteers are needed for fair committees and to help tear down the club’s fair booth.
North Central District Horse Show will be July 5, Tri-County Fair will be July 6 to 8, and Marion County Fair will be July 22 to 29.
A book drive and the possibility of a pulled-pork fundraiser June 21 in Central Park were discussed.
For community service, the club may help FFA members with a community garden.
Larry and Johnny Zieammermann are signed up for talks, and that Zieammermann family is signed up to provide refreshments at the next meeting, scheduled for 7 p.m. July 3 at the church.
