Golfing swings into action

Marion Country Club golfers will get back in the swing of things with a two-person scramble for golfers age 50 and older starting at 10 a.m. Saturday. Registration costs $40.

Other events tentatively planned for this year include:

• June 27 — Two-person scramble starting at 1 p.m.
• July 8 — Senior tournament, 9 a.m.
• July 15 — Women’s two-person scramble, 4:30 p.m.
• July 19 — Two-person ghost-ball scramble.
• July 26 — Coaches scholarship four-person scramble, 1 p.m.
• Aug. 1 and 2 — Club championship.
• Aug. 22 and 23 — Marion and Hillsboro three-person scramble, 7:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
• Sept. 12 and 13 — Bruce-Crofoot Challenge tournament at Hillsboro.
• Sept. 25 — Old Settlers Day four-person scramble.
